Chapter 2 Discussion
Good Morning and Happy Easter! I hope that you get a double blessing from the chapter today since much of it focuses on "New Life" and today is a day of Resurrection! First off, is there anything that stood out to you in the chapter that impacted you or you didn't agree with? If so, why?

I really enjoyed this chapter. I felt like I could really relate to the concept of new beginnings and God creating a new vision for me life. I had several things that popped out to me. I enjoyed what she had to say on p. 15 about being human, broken and real. I experience a lot as a wife of a pastor that I am afraid to show this because it may cause problems later on in my church. I have heard many pastor's wives tell me that you have to put on a happy face no matter what. I have such a hard time setting boundaries and trying to NOT be myself. But maybe God doesn't want me to close off those areas of my life... Im not sure.
ReplyDeleteI also really liked p. 22 where Shelia discusses she needed to decide what to lean on. I know we all know we need to lean on God but do we really act on that? I lean on everything else before I lean on God. He is always my first thought, but seems to be my last place to land.
