Question 5

God and His church can provide a wonderful place of belonging. Those of us who have found a place to belong with God and His family have an opportunity and I believe and obligation to support and help carry each other’s burdens. How can we better love and support each other? How can we carry out Paul’s words in Galatians 6:2?

  1. I think a great way is keeping connected to those people that make us better and encourage us in our walk with God. We not only help support them, but make a great support for ourselves. (kinda like our blog here :) )

  2. It's hard being away from school and trying to find a place to belong - especially in a church family. Fortunately I've found a great church and group of friends. I feel very blessed to say that.
I think supporting each other better would take a leap of faith. I've found that I'm more open and supportive of those who are more open and supportive first. I should take more initiative to open up and reach out first. Also - I think asking for help is huge. I know so many people who would jump at the chance to help each other out if only they knew someone needed help. So I think we need to be more open with others, and also I think we shouldn't be so afraid to ask people for help.
